I am a pen and ink artist living in northern Turtle Island. I started a print series focussed on highlighting various nature-based climate solutions that exist on this land. The first in the series is one celebrating the potential of kelp farming – Not only for its ability to capture carbon, but also for it’s potentional as a sustainable food source, fertilizer, etc. etc. – and general protector of biodiversity. In each print I also want to bring attention to native animal species as they relate to whatever i’m drawing. Our relationship with animals we share this planet with needs a lot of work. I am hoping my art can advocate for the animals that are featured.
