Call for Digital Media + Film Artists

CALL TO ARTISTS & STORYTELLERS FOR A SERIES OF PROJECTS
Seeking artists (2+) for multiple short-term paid project opportunities through 2023 and 2024.

INVITATION
This is a call to filmmakers, video artists and storytellers whose work is intimately connected
to or inspired by the land. You will be called upon to document private or public events,
experiences and/or storytelling circles, usually outdoors and in nature. You will be asked to
edit and produce video content (shorts or series) based on those events in artistic ways.
We welcome artistic voices and explorations of how the land pulls us into relationship and
how that informs the stories we tell?

Modalities welcome: filmmakers, video artists, graphic digital artists, documentary
filmmakers and storytellers.
Work commitments: Schedule is mostly flexible and will be determined with producers.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Exact Fee rates to be discussed at first
interview.

Indigenous and BIPOC artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

Visit the AAC gallery on Friday, September 16th for a day long screening of Gather, A short film by Nehiyaw Iskwew artist Sandra Lamouche to accompany her gallery exhibition Generations. Gather is a work-in-progress that started with the idea of land-based dance, focusing on soniyaw niyipsiy (wolf willow) and the growth through the seasons.
